This full-time, permanent CNC Machinist Lead career opportunity is with a premier, attachment manufacturer. A global leader in the scrap recycling, construction, and demolition industries, fueled by a relentless commitment to innovation. This is a "people-first" culture where excellence is celebrated and longevity is the norm. If you are a highly technical machinist looking for a stable, family-oriented home where you are encouraged to grow and promoted from within, this is the perfect opportunity.
The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Perform complete setups and independent operations on a variety of CNC and manual mills and lathes, including large-scale milling centers and multi-axis machines
- Edit G&M code and optimize programs to manufacture precision hydraulic components from high-strength steels and specialized alloys
- Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of operations for custom heavy equipment builds
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, bore gages, micrometers) to verify 100% conformance to exact specifications and high-tolerance standards
- Collaborate directly with engineering and fabrication teams to troubleshoot program issues, resolve machining problems, and optimize production efficiency
- Maintain equipment and workspace through routine machine maintenance and adherence to 5S and safety-first manufacturing protocols
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- A minimum of a 2-year Technical Diploma or Associate’s Degree in CNC Machining, Machine Tool, or a related field
- Proven technical mastery of G&M codes and shop math; you must be a true machinist, not just a "button pusher."
- Significant experience in setting up and operating large milling centers and performing close-tolerance work on complex workpieces
- Familiarity with 5-axis machining is a major plus, though not required (internal training is available)
- A stable and reliable work history. Candidates with a pattern of changing jobs every two years will not be considered
- Being a US citizen or Green Card holder
