We're looking for an experienced Recruiting Consultant to join our growing team in a flexible, part-time capacity.

About the Role

You'll work closely with our team to support a mix of ongoing client recruiting needs and direct-hire searches. Our retained clients are primarily in the construction and industrial sectors, with hiring needs ranging from skilled trades and field personnel to administrative and professional positions. You'll also have opportunities to support searches across other industries and functions, including IT, accounting, finance, operations, and more.

In addition to recruiting, this role may involve providing general HR support to clients, depending on their needs.

We're looking for someone who can do more than fill open positions. The right person will serve as a trusted partner to our clients, bringing sound judgment, practical recommendations, and a proactive approach to solving hiring challenges.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned client accounts and searches, from intake through candidate selection and offer coordination.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their business needs, priorities, and expectations.
• Source, engage, screen, and evaluate candidates across a variety of industries and position levels.
• Support ongoing recruiting needs for retained clients, particularly within construction, industrial, skilled trades, and administrative functions.
• Assist with professional and specialized direct-hire searches across IT, accounting/finance, and other disciplines.
• Provide timely updates, market insights, and recommendations to clients throughout the recruiting process.
• Serve as a consultative partner, confidently and professionally offering alternative perspectives or challenging expectations when appropriate.
• Assist with HR-related projects and general client support as needed.
• Maintain accurate candidate and client records within our recruiting systems.
• Collaborate with the Connectly team to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for clients and candidates.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing, with the ability to independently manage recruiting assignments.
• Experience recruiting for construction, industrial, skilled trades, or similar positions is highly desirable.
• Broad recruiting experience across multiple industries or job functions is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished, professional approach to client and candidate interactions.
• A consultative mindset and the confidence to provide thoughtful guidance, navigate challenging conversations, and respectfully push back when needed.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple searches, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Tech-savvy, comfortable learning new systems, and able to leverage recruiting technology and AI tools to work efficiently.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a primarily remote environment.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and our clients.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client and candidate experience.

Schedule & Location

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are structured based on client and business needs.

The role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in Baton Rouge or the surrounding area and be available for occasional in-person meetings or visits to local client offices.
