Continuously improves instruction using innovative teaching methods and techniques
Utilizes online activities to enhance course content and interactive learning
Assists with reviewing and revising course syllabi and instructional guidelines
Submits required program reports and forms to the Director on time
Stays current with new technologies and safety regulations
Maintains student records (attendance, grades, skills check-offs) and assists with program data collection to meet deadlines
Updates and maintains student files for clinical, immunization, and educational requirements
Teaches courses at various times and locations to meet program needs
Teaches both lecture and clinical rotations (including days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends)
Participates in professional development and maintains required CE hours for licensure
Actively serves on assigned committees while prioritizing teaching responsibilities
Qualifications
Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach
3 years bedside experience with RN/BSN
6 years bedside experience with LVN/Associates Degree
Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing
Experience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings; ability to work independently without close supervision; broad knowledge of nursing sciences; successful handling of day to day operations in the nursing lab; proficient, strong communications skills verbal and written; current knowledge/experience in clinical setting
Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
