Job Description
This engineering position develops, maintains, and optimizes manufacturing methods and processes across facilities while supporting new equipment acquisition, safety evaluations, and efficiency initiatives using APQP methodology.
Core Responsibilities
· Creating and maintaining APQP documentation including PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, and standard work.
· Performing process qualifications to verify stability and conformance of manufactured products.
· Designing safe manufacturing processes that meet OSHA standards and using customer demand data to align production capacity.
· Leading process improvements based on production feedback and lean tools while determining capital project costs and justifications.
· Managing new equipment purchasing, installation, and training to ensure safe and capable operations.
· Communicating ideas effectively to achieve buy-in from management and manufacturing teams while managing multiple concurrent projects.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, or related field (or 3-5 years equivalent experience). Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and strong problem-solving/data-analysis skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high productivity.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Primarily office-based with occasional shop floor presence requiring PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection where needed). Reasonable accommodations available.
