What You'll Do
Litigation & Case Support
-
Prepare, revise, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents for state and federal court matters.

Coordinate and manage electronic filings in state and federal courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and filing requirements.

Maintain attorney calendars and litigation deadlines by calculating, tracking, and monitoring critical dates.

Assist with the preparation of exhibits, hearing materials, appendices, and other complex filing packages.
Matter Management

Support multiple attorneys across a variety of active matters while effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Open and maintain client matters, assist with conflict checks, and help ensure files remain accurate and organized.

Track case activity, deliverables, and deadlines to keep matters progressing efficiently.

Proactively communicate with attorneys and team members regarding outstanding tasks, upcoming deadlines, and workflow priorities.

Exercise sound judgment in identifying potential issues and escalating concerns when appropriate.
Document & File Management

Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files in accordance with firm procedures.

Maintain document organization, version control, and filing accuracy within the firm's document management system.

Regularly review workspaces to ensure files remain complete, organized, and easily accessible.
Administrative Support
-
Assist attorneys with time entry and billing submissions.
-
Review billing entries for completeness and identify missing time or inconsistencies.

Process expense reimbursements and client-related costs as needed.
Client Service
-
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and internal team members.

Draft routine correspondence and emails with minimal supervision.
-
Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
What We're Looking For
-
3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal support role within a law firm.

Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.

Experience with state and/or federal electronic filing systems preferred.

Working knowledge of legal terminology, legal document preparation, court procedures, and litigation workflows.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with PDF editing software.

Experience with document management systems and legal technology platforms is preferred.

Ability to quickly learn new technology, adapt to changing priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively.
