Location: This is an on-site role based in Charlottesville, Virginia, offering the chance to work closely with a collaborative team in one of Central Virginia’s most desirable markets.

Note: Must have direct experience with civil/construction plan preparation, strong Civil 3D skills, and U.S. work authorization. Candidates with stronger experience can be considered above the posted range.

Job Description

  • Lead civil engineering and land development projects from early planning through final delivery
  • Prepare and oversee civil/construction plans, drawings, and technical documents
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communication
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and municipal stakeholders
  • Review design work for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Support land development planning, infrastructure design, and site analysis efforts
  • Mentor junior team members and help elevate the quality of project execution across the team
  • Contribute to proposals, client meetings, and business development efforts as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of civil engineering experience, ideally in land development
  • Direct experience in civil/construction plan preparation
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience managing projects and working directly with clients
  • PE license preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure may also be considered
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • U.S. work authorization required
