We know the best welders and fabricators don't all arrive the same way. We are actively looking for candidates who bring any of the following:
Professional experience in a welding or fabrication environment - production, structural, industrial, or otherwise
Formal education or training in welding - trade school (including RPCC, BRCC, or similar), apprenticeship, or welding certification programs
Hands-on foundation built outside the classroom - grew up welding in the shop, fixing equipment on the farm, or learning the craft from the ground up

What You'll Do
- Fabrication welding of fitted parts and components in an OEM manufacturing environment
- Fabricate components from raw materials using blueprints and drawings
- MIG weld (GMAW) aluminum and steel; TIG (GTAW) and STICK (SMAW) experience a plus
- Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions as required
- Work across aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel - building a broad skillset
- Operate cutting torch, grinders, saws, and iron worker
- Support layout activities and collaborate with the service department on welding and fabrication requests
- Maintain and monitor equipment; follow safety procedures and keep your workspace organized
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes with approved rigging methods as directed
What We're Looking For
- Proficient MIG welder (GMAW) with general knowledge of TIG (GTAW)- or the drive to develop it
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabricate from those prints
- Can read a tape measure to the 1/16 inch
- Organized, detail-oriented, and focused on quality work
- A team player - dependable, positive, and open to feedback
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Local candidates preferred; must be willing to commute to south Baton Rouge, LA
The Schedule
Stable, consistent schedule - Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. No shift work, no rotating schedules. Project-based overtime is available and goal-oriented. Your weekends are yours.
