Position Overview
A full-time Nurse Manager position is available for a long-term-care and rehabilitation unit in Geneva, New York.
The Nurse Manager provides clinical and operational leadership for the unit and is responsible for maintaining high standards of resident care, safety, staff performance, and regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to ensure quality care and resident safety.
Responsibilities include:

Promote an environment focused on quality care, resident safety, dignity, and respect.

Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff.

Promote staff development, empowerment, teamwork, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Allocate staffing and other resources effectively and responsibly.

Coordinate care between nursing and other departments.

Promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.

Participate in recruitment, selection, orientation, education, credentialing, and retention of nursing staff.

Ensure compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations and organizational policies.

Monitor and evaluate quality-of-care initiatives.

Use data and analytical skills to identify departmental needs and implement improvement initiatives.

Participate in performance evaluation and staff development activities.

Manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.

Promote a customer-focused environment centered on resident well-being.
Staff Supervision
The Nurse Manager provides supervision and leadership to:

The position reports to nursing leadership/administration responsible for long-term care.
Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nurse program.

Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.

At least two years of nursing experience or two years of long-term-care experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Knowledge of management systems and quality-improvement processes.

Knowledge of performance evaluation.

Familiarity with New York State Department of Health requirements.

Computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.

Previous nursing management or leadership experience.

Microsoft Office experience.

Meditech experience.

Work Environment
This is a long-term-care and rehabilitation environment providing 24-hour resident care.
The rehabilitation unit includes a dedicated rehabilitation area and provides care to residents requiring skilled nursing and transitional rehabilitation services.
Compensation
Annual salary range: $89,610–$105,060
Placement within the salary range is based on nursing leadership experience. Hiring bonus available.
