§ Duties:
The Associate will serve as a principal legal consultant for judicial and non-judicial reorganizations, requiring technical precision and a deep understanding of distressed transactions.
Primary responsibilities include:
⨖ Managing insolvency proceedings, including Chapter 11 litigation and international matters.
⨖ Supervising debt obligations via exchange offers, consent solicitations, and balance sheet enhancements.
⨖ Representing a broad client base, including debtor corporations, creditors, and equity sponsors.
⨖ Overseeing the acquisition of distressed assets and advising leadership on fiduciary duties.
⨖ Participating in pro bono legal initiatives with full billable credit allocated for contributions.
§ Qualifications:
Requisite criteria for this role include:
⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier, ABA-accredited law school with superior academic achievement.
⨖ Active Bar Membership in the state of New York.
⨖ Three (3) to Six (6) years of substantive experience within a comparable international legal institution.
⨖ Proficiency in court-supervised and private restructuring frameworks, including liability management.
⨖ Advanced drafting and negotiation capabilities for the independent management of complex mandates.
