Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated White Collar Defense & Internal Investigations Practice Group in New York. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with experience in white collar defense, government investigations, and complex commercial litigation to work alongside an accomplished team representing corporate and individual clients in high-stakes investigations and enforcement matters. The practice regularly handles matters involving allegations of securities fraud, money laundering, corruption, and other complex corporate misconduct issues before federal and state enforcement authorities.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
- 3-6 years of substantive White Collar Defense, Internal Investigations, and/or Commercial Litigation experience
- Experience handling government investigations and internal corporate investigations
- Experience with matters involving securities fraud, money laundering, corruption, or other allegations of corporate misconduct is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory and enforcement frameworks
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience managing complex litigation matters and investigations involving corporate and individual clients
- Demonstrated ability to analyze facts, assess risk, and develop effective litigation and investigative strategies
- Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred
- Courtroom experience strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused environment
- Superior communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Represent corporate and individual clients in government investigations, internal investigations, and white collar defense matters
- Assist clients responding to inquiries and enforcement actions by federal and state agencies, including regulatory and prosecutorial authorities
- Conduct witness interviews, internal reviews, and factual investigations involving allegations of corporate misconduct
- Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, investigative reports, and other complex legal documents
- Manage litigation and investigative matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels
- Collaborate with clients and attorneys across practice groups to develop strategic legal solutions
- Participate in case assessment, discovery, legal research, and trial preparation
- Provide practical and business-oriented counsel to clients facing regulatory, investigative, and litigation challenges

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: $230,000 - $320,000+, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and class year.
- Future Salary Increase: Annual salary range scheduled to increase to $245,000 - $340,000 January 1, 2027.
