Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Manager of Applications Support. This pivotal role involves guiding the strategic direction, overseeing release management, and ensuring the maintenance of web-hosted systems that align with our business goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with global architecture and application teams to deliver optimal service levels and contribute to solution development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and administrative activities for North America's external-facing application support.
• Manage global operations for support environments, including source code management, project planning, and collaboration systems.
• Act as a technical resource for global application and architecture teams, providing infrastructure problem resolution.
• Analyze performance and capacity management reports, recommending performance tuning activities for global web systems.
• Participate in the IT change management committee to drive effective change initiatives.
• Supervise direct and indirect reports, evaluating performance and recommending compensation adjustments.
• Ensure protection of information assets for both the company and its clients.
• Conduct planning sessions with various teams to guide direction and maintain standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and enhance technical expertise in relevant technologies.
• Identify potential issues impacting project progress and alert management accordingly.
• Execute additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience; post-graduate experience is a plus.
• At least eight years of experience in managing web systems or infrastructure services, with a track record of leading technical teams.
• Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat, and Apache is essential.
• Familiarity with application development tools is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, technical staff, and vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and consultative skills.
• Excellent planning and project management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
• Capability to provide off-hours support through a mobile device.
