Summary
Weris is seeking an Operations & IT Systems Manager to support a government customer to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and lifecycle management of organizational equipment, facilities, and technical systems. This role ensures that technical systems, computing environments, and organizational resources are properly maintained, scheduled, tracked, and operated safely and efficiently.

The position works closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to support reliable system performance, infrastructure readiness, and coordinated operations across complex technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of technical systems, equipment, and assigned indoor/outdoor work areas, ensuring all resources are functional, properly configured, and available when needed.
• Oversee multiple cross‑functional teams, including systems administration, engineering, and facilities, ensuring each team’s objectives align with broader facility and organizational goals.
• Coordinate with technical teams to maintain computing infrastructure, networked equipment, and system environments supporting operational activities.
• Monitor system health, availability, and configuration status across infrastructure, equipment, and operational systems.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure, equipment, and system issues to ensure reliable operations.
• Plan, track, and oversee maintenance activities, including preventive service, repairs, and vendor-supported work, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Maintain an asset management program that tracks equipment status, lifecycle, inventory levels, spare parts, software licenses, and new acquisitions.
• Support program and project needs by providing operational reporting, resource availability updates, and logistical coordination across on-site and off-site locations.

• Minimum BS/BA in related field with 4+ years of experience in supporting IT infrastructure, networked systems, or technical computing environments.
• Experience managing or supporting servers, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, field connected devices, or similar technical environments.
• Experience supporting transportation systems, technical research environments, or similar operational infrastructure preferred.
