Job Title: Electric & Network Engineer

Summary
Weris is seeking Electric and Network Engineers to support a federal government customer in the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and communications technologies that support mission-critical operations.
In this role, engineers will collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams to support infrastructure and application environments, contribute to system architecture and integration, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise systems.
Openings are available at multiple levels (Junior, Mid, and Senior), and candidates will be considered based on their experience, technical expertise, and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and test electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components, circuits, and systems.
• Integrate and optimize hardware and software systems, including commercial off the shelf (COTS) components.
• Engineer wired and wireless communication networks, including RF, cellular, satellite, and digital/analog systems.
• Conduct system-level engineering tasks, such as system modeling, requirements analysis, and performance evaluation.
• Perform testing, validation, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical, communications, and automated systems.
• Install, operate, and maintain communication and test equipment, including consoles, simulators, and instrumentation.
• Analyze and optimize wireless and RF systems, including channel loading, site assessments, and network performance.
• Support the development and implementation of multi-level system architectures and reintegrate components into complete systems.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity and network protection measures to ensure the security and reliability of networked systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with electrical system design, circuit analysis, hardware integration, and system troubleshooting/testing.
• Knowledge of wired and wireless communication systems, RF technologies, and applicable industry standards.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements development and architectural decomposition.
• Ability to support or lead system-level engineering efforts (leadership experience preferred for senior roles).
• Preferred expertise in RF/wireless or satellite communications, network architecture, control systems, or high reliability system design.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for protecting networked systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently or in cross-functional environments.
