Our client is looking for motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representatives for Metal Working Machinery. Generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients in your region (Central Ontario or Eastern Ontario).
Your expertise in technical sales of metalworking machinery and account management, and relationship management will be crucial as you work to meet and exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service. Previous technical sales experience (ideally outside B2B sales) is an asset but not required.
Competitive compensation package is comprised of base salary, commissions on direct sales, car allowance, group benefits, and defined benefit pension plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand market presence within the province.
· Conduct market research to identify potential customers and understand their needs.
· Utilize CRM to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on performance metrics.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
· Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
· Provide technical sales support by understanding product features and benefits, addressing client inquiries, and working with colleagues in sales support roles to offer tailored solutions.
· Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience in metalworking machinery sales or a related field with a strong understanding of the capital goods sales process.
· Proficiency in CRM software for effective account management.
· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
· Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for both the company and clients.
· Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly for business development.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly.
· Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Experience:
· Technical Sales: 5 years (preferred)
· Manufacturing Equipment Sales: 1 year (preferred)
· Outside Sales 3 years (preferred)
This role pays a competitive compensation ranging from $125,000 - $150,000 per annum. There are other benefits beyond the salary mentioned above which will be discussed later in the recruitment process. The compensation is dependent on the candidate experience and educational profile and will be evaluated during the interview process.
