Our client, a nationally recognized management-side labor and employment law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney / Of Counsel to join its Employment Litigation Practice Group. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced employment litigator to work remotely while handling sophisticated employment matters for employers across a broad range of industries. The position offers significant responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside highly accomplished labor and employment attorneys in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
- 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience (Associate level consideration)
- Attorneys seeking Of Counsel consideration should possess 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience and demonstrated first-chair litigation capabilities
- Experience defending employers in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and related workplace claims
- Experience representing employers in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agency matters
- Class Action and/or PAGA experience preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and administrative procedures
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to client service excellence
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork
- Prior large law firm experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and agency proceedings
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Represent employers before state and federal administrative agencies
- Advise and counsel employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues
- Conduct management training on employment and labor law topics
- Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, employment torts, contract claims, non-compete issues, and class or representative actions
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice areas to provide strategic, business-oriented legal counsel to clients

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: $120,000 – $216,000+, commensurate with experience, level, and geographic location.
