Traveling Construction Superintendent-Retail
• Experienced Commercial Superintendent- Ok with travel to worksite/post up during work at the project/build site location-
• Looking ideally for Commercial construction, primarily in Retail- Must be GROUND-UP WORK (Ideal is $15M project size and above)-
• Tilt Wall units primarily.
• Typical project areas- (OK, MO, AR, TX, KS, LA)- Attempt to keep the Superintendent within a 6-7 hour drive of home base.
• College Degree preferred (with Construction and/or Business background) but not required depending on experience
• Primary customers are Big Box Retail- Majority of work is Ground Up, not remodel
• Remodel work typically runs 14-28 weeks- New stores run from 5-12 months on average.
• Full Benefit package- Out of pocket for family healthcare is roughly $140/mo.
• 100% of housing costs are covered (hotel, Airbnb)- Not in a situation where they are housing multiple people in the same housing setup.
• Will work closely w/ project team- Must be team players- No “Lone Wolves”- they won’t last. Often times will “stay” with the same Project Manager (they are based at HQ in KS, and will travel every week or two to the project site for a day or two).
• Must be computer savvy- Clients/Owners (Large Retail stores) demand this, so non-negotiable.
• Client will cover costs of “return home” 2X a month (airfare/travel per diem)
Lots of work currently in the pipeline- If they wrap up a project before the next one hits the schedule, they will be dispatched to assist on another project- They won’t be in a situation where they get “put on the bench” until that next project releases, so no loss of wages/time.
