We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Campus Dean for our BSN Program to join our leadership team.

The Campus Dean of Nursing will provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at our campus. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards in program delivery, academic excellence, and student success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Nursing Department to achieve program goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the annual program budget; monitor expenditures, align spending with revenue, and analyze budget variances.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the nursing curriculum and courses.
  • Oversee all components of the BSN program to ensure high quality, regulatory compliance, and successful achievement of program outcomes.
  • Recruit, retain, and maintain an adequate number of qualified full-time and part-time faculty.
  • Provide effective supervision, mentorship, and professional development for faculty and staff.
  • Lead faculty orientation, ongoing mentorship, and development initiatives.
  • Oversee preparation for accreditation visits by programmatic accreditors and the Board of Nursing.
  • Prepare and submit annual and interim reports required by accrediting bodies, professional associations, and the Board of Nursing.
  • Facilitate a systematic program evaluation and review process, including assessment of:
    • Curriculum
    • Faculty
    • Staff
    • Students
    • Resources
    • Program Outcomes
    • Communities of Interest
  • Supervise the systematic collection, analysis, and use of data to evaluate and improve program outcomes.
  • Represent the Nursing Program in college-wide meetings and committees.
  • Collaborate with college leadership to achieve key institutional goals, including student retention, graduation rates, student satisfaction, and staff retention.
  • Engage with stakeholders and communities of interest to gather feedback and strengthen program development.
  • Promote positive communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, and college personnel.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and hiring of faculty in accordance with college policies.
  • Demonstrate professional commitment through continuous development in teaching and learning, active participation in professional organizations, and service to the nursing community.
  • Teach assigned course(s) within the Department of Nursing, in compliance with Board of Nursing regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current RN license in the state where the campus is located
  • A master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or University that includes course work in nursing, education or administration
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an administrative position
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs
  • At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the Board
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communications
