Location: This is an on-site role based in San Jose, CA, with travel to SF Bay Area job sites.

Note: To be considered, candidates must have direct plumbing construction project management experience and permanent U.S. work authorization.

Job Description

  • Manage commercial plumbing construction projects from bid through completion
  • Oversee design-build, plan/spec, and design-assist work
  • Perform plumbing system calculations, pipe sizing, and equipment selection
  • Coordinate plumbing layouts, systems, and equipment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage schedules, deliverables, and project timelines
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, general contractors, owners, consultants, and MEP partners
  • Support and guide junior technical staff
  • Resolve field issues with project teams and field personnel
  • Compile and manage submittals, vendor coordination, pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Handle buyout and procurement of equipment and finishes
  • Oversee project financials, cost control, and overall profitability
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractors
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that can lead to future work
  • Lead project closeout and ensure a smooth handoff

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of directly relevant commercial plumbing construction experience
  • Project management experience in the construction field is required
  • Experience with estimating and design in plumbing construction
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and coordination
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes and construction processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Mechanical or Civil Engineering background preferred
  • EIT or PE preferred, not required
  • LEED experience or accreditation is a plus
  • Revit and BIM experience are a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
