Location: Columbus, OH (Local or open to relocate – relocation assistance available)
Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000 per year (open for discussion, dependent on experience) + Relocation Assistance, Performance & Signing Bonuses
About the Role We are seeking a driven, self-starting Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of market-rate multi-family housing projects in the Columbus area. Joining an Employee-Owned (ESOP) company, you will take ownership of your projects from initial site setup through final close-out. The ideal candidate is an independent worker capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining exceptional relationships with clients, tradesmen, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Drive the successful, cost-effective execution of multi-family developments while managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive construction schedules.
- Team & Site Management: Direct and train on-site personnel, manage daily performance, and proactively resolve on-site issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact, communicating effectively with owners, design professionals, property staff, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and the public.
- Client Relations: Act as a dedicated customer sponsor to ensure client satisfaction and maintain top-tier business relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in construction, with required previous Project Manager experience in multi-family housing (Commercial or K–12 background is a highly valued bonus).
- Education: A 4-year degree with 2–4 years of related PM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Portfolio: Must submit a multi-family project list alongside your application.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly master Procore.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to read complex financial and legal documents, establish facts, and solve problems independently.
- Work Style: Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
