Role Executive Summary
The VP of Business Development is an elite player-coach role for a "heavy hitter" with a portable book of business and deep expertise in the Systems Integration (SI) ecosystem. You will be responsible for driving high-value digital solutions, with a focus on complex integrations involving SAP, Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Azure. This role requires the technical depth to consult at the C-suite level and the agility to personally structure complex RFP contracts without the heavy overhead of a Big 4 firm.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Revenue Leadership: Identify, cultivate, and close high-value systems integration and digital transformation opportunities to achieve an annual target of $20M+.

C-Suite Advisory: Act as a peer to CTOs, CIOs, and VPs of Engineering, translating business problems into technical integration roadmaps.

AI-Driven Problem Solving: Lead discussions with clients who lack internal competencies to leverage AI for operational efficiency and business solution development.

Systems Integrations: Identify challenges customers encounter during data migration and integration, as well as opportunities for systems integration.

End-to-End Deal Ownership: Personally drive the sales cycle, including whiteboarding solutions, structuring technical RFP responses, and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.

Portfolio Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline within Financial Services, Insurance, Fintech, and Insurtech sectors.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a veteran from the SI space who thrives in a nimble, results-oriented environment. You are likely currently in a similar role where you have established relationships you can leverage to generate revenue quickly.

Location: The role is remote; however, they need to live in a major city in the Eastern Time Zone, or the Eastern part of the Central Time Zone (i.e., Dallas, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis)
Required Qualifications & Technical Expertise

Proven Track Record: 15+ years of experience in Business Development or Sales Leadership within Systems Integrators.

Technology Expertise: Deep familiarity with data-centric integrators and platforms such as Boomi, Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure.

Sector Mastery: Extensive network and background in Financial Services and Insurance. Experience in Manufacturing is a plus.

Independent Executor: Ability to "wear many hats" and handle the execution and delivery planning rather than relying on a large support team (e.g., non-Accenture/CapGemini model).
