Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of technical drawings and blueprints. This role involves assembling, installing, and repairing machinery and structural components, ensuring all work meets stringent safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install machinery, equipment, and structures following blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout and dimensions required for the project.
• Select the appropriate welding equipment and tools based on the project requirements.
• Construct structural components from raw materials.
• Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps as necessary.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and clean all metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery regularly.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and science.
• State certification in welding.
• Proven experience as a fitter with a solid understanding of local and state building codes.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to concentrate for extended periods.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional welding and mechanical skills.
• Physical capability to lift 50 or more pounds and work in confined spaces.
