We are looking for a dedicated and proficient Estimator / Project Manager to lead project estimation and oversee the full lifecycle of projects. This role requires expertise in cost estimation, project planning, and successful project delivery, ensuring timely completion within budget and adhering to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating Duties:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare precise cost estimates.
- Evaluate labor, material, and equipment needs for various projects.
- Identify potential risks and incorporate contingencies into pricing strategies.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as necessary.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure all expectations are met.
Project Management Duties:
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects within set deadlines and budgets.
- Coordinate internal resources and work with schedulers to ensure project success.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise promptly.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in weekly update meetings and contribute to forecasting.
- Manage procurement processes for materials and subcontractors.
- Control costs and report on project performance to management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A degree (2 or 4 year) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are beneficial.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a machine and fabrication shop environment.
- Proven ability to manage projects ranging from $10,000 to $500,000.
- Experience with estimating software and project management tools such as E2.
- Proficiency in CAD/Drawing and the ability to interpret prints.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail and precision.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of contracts and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
