Key Responsibilities
- Lead talent acquisition activities, including job postings, organizing recruiting events, and conducting interviews for hourly roles.
- Coordinate the pre-employment process by managing background checks and required screenings.
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with current labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and application practices.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring accurate data entry into HR systems and conducting compliance audits.
- Monitor HR and recruiting metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Perform additional duties that align with the core responsibilities of the role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in Human Resources.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a union and non-union manufacturing setting, with at least 1 year of high-volume recruiting experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- Experience with HRIS, preferably Workday, and time and attendance systems.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, with a preference for bilingual candidates.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, function independently, and collaborate within a team environment.
