CORPORATE PROJECT ENGINEER
The primary focus of this role is the project management of new system installations, optimization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Corporate Project Engineer reports directly to the Sr Corporate Project Engineering Manager and serves as a technical resource supporting multiple production facilities. This is a service-oriented position that works cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, and external partners to troubleshoot issues and support project execution. This position will also be working on a new facility build - greenfield plant in the midwest.
Principal Duties
Project Management

Manage capital projects from conceptual design through startup and handoff, including cost estimating, specifications, system design, P&ID review, and schedule management.

Provide on-site direction for contractors across multiple trades, collaborate with OEM technicians, and coordinate closely with plant personnel during project execution.

Lead installation, I/O checkout, startup activities, and plant acceptance processes.

Develop specifications and designs for OEM equipment, automation panels, and associated hardware.

Provide guidance and support for PLC ladder logic programming and HMI application development with controls engineers.

Serve as a technical mentor to engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel.

Partner closely with the corporate controls and automation group to prepare for and support projects involving automation, controls, and network integration.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field preferred

Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing engineering or capital projects.
Skills & Experience

Experience with installation and startup of food, beverage or other similar process and/or packaging equipment preferred.

Some working knowledge with Rockwell Automation software and systems for commissioning and the project is preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, other design tools- blue prints, and line and facility layout documents is preferred.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Project Word, Excel.
- Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects for infastructure, building and production line machinery - beverage or filling systems, canning or liquid preferred but not required
