The company specializes in controlled access systems, video surveillance, facility control, and electronic integration systems for correctional, detention, and institutional facilities across the country.

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the implementation and integration of advanced electronic security and communication systems from engineering and documentation through installation, testing, and project closeout.

Ideal candidates will have experience with electronics. It is preferred but not necessary to have experience with electronic security systems, access control, systems integration, construction coordination, project management, and technical documentation. Experience with correctional, detention, institutional, or large facility environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and support electronic security system projects including CCTV, access control, intercom, and integrated systems.
• Prepare and manage engineered submittals, fabrication drawings, installation documentation, and bills of material.
• Review project specifications, blueprints, schematics, and supplier drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, programmers, and field installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and manage RFIs, technical clarifications, and project documentation.
• Support procurement activities and track material and equipment schedules.
• Assist field teams with technical support, troubleshooting, and installation coordination.
• Coordinate project startup, commissioning, system testing, and closeout documentation including O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, and test reports.
• Maintain organized project records and communicate project status updates to management.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronics, or automation systems such as PLCs, electronic security systems, controls, systems integration, or related technical project engineering.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, intercom, low-voltage systems, or PLC-based systems preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or other CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple teams in office and construction environments.
