YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
The Bakery General Manager is responsible for developing and leading the team to drive sales & profitability and delivering superior guest service and the highest quality baked goods to community and internal customers.
Operations:
- Executes a flawless bakery operation
- Builds genuine guest connections, delivers world class hospitality and holds team members accountable to the same standard
- Prepares for and recovers from peak guest demands by adjusting labor plan and deployment as necessary
- Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, and recipes
- Supports and works in the kitchen and partners with the Bakery Manager in the production process to ensure the right quantity of quality products are delivered
- Interacts with off-premise events, weddings, catering etc.

People:
- Leadership - Lead, develop and motivate your team.
- Ensures training to foster team member development and succession planning. Ensures that checklists and training trackers are followed and completed
- Provides constant feedback both in the moment and through more formalized reviews and chats
Financial:
- Manage the P&L and costs to maximize profitability while delivering a great customer experience.
- Builds efficient labor schedules that are consistent with sales forecasts
- Drives the financial performance of the store.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Associate degree in culinary, mangement or hospitality preferred
- 2 - 3 years experience in managing a retail bakery store, bakery, full service or fast-casual restaurant that has a lot of baked goods.
- 2 years of hands on baking experience
- Experience in stores with at least $6.0 million in sales.
- 2 years of previous multi-unit or Director experience
- Track record of innovation and out of box thinking from previous roles
- Ability to train, coach and support your team and be hands on.
- Track record of leading and developing teams through clearly articulating expectations and holding team accountable
- Possesses an eye for detail and can execute standards accordingly
- Ability to read and analyze a P&L and uses the tool to effectively drive the business
- Exposure to financial controls and accountabilities
