1. Think drive-through experience! They can teach burgers but effective drive-through management takes longer to learn. This means you can recruit from any drive-through concept including coffee, burger, chicken, mexican, and so on (Arby's, Taco Bell, Chic-fil-A, Wendy's, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, etc. Show their average drive-through window service time versus their goal on the resume.
2. They do like Pizza Hut Managers and will make an exception to the drive-through window requirement.
3. GPS is on path to add 65 District Managers over the next few years so career advancement is a strong possibility for the talented GM.
4. NO McDonald's - they have been very unsuccessful in the past.
5. NO out-of-industry or unemployed (unless maternity leave).

Restaurant General Manager responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the drive-thru and dining room to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Hire, train, and develop team members and managers to uphold company standards
- Monitor financial performance, including labor, food costs, and overall profitability
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Implement company policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards
- Drive sales, promotions, and community engagement to grow the business
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally to enhance the customer experience
Restaurant General Manager candidates must possess:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Manager in a fast food, fast casual, or quick-service (QSR) restaurant
- Experience managing both drive-thru and dining room operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage labor costs, inventory, and restaurant financials
- Passion for guest service, team development, and operational excellence
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
