General Manager | Boutique Hospitality Concept (Hotel, Lounge & Events)
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead a unique, multi-concept hospitality operation. This role oversees a boutique luxury hotel, an upscale lounge environment, and a high-volume private events business.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a guest-focused environment, builds strong relationships, and develops high-performing teams. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys both the strategic and day-to-day aspects of running a polished hospitality operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Direct all aspects of daily operations across lodging, food & beverage, and events
- Establish and uphold service standards, operating procedures, and training initiatives
- Lead, coach, and hold management and hourly teams accountable through consistent presence and feedback
- Actively participate in peak service periods to ensure execution and support the team
- Drive communication across departments to align staffing, service levels, and guest expectations
- Monitor and refine the overall guest experience through audits, observations, and coaching
- Oversee private and group events, ensuring coordination between departments and successful execution
Business & Financial Management
- Forecast sales and labor needs based on occupancy trends and business demand
- Manage scheduling for leadership and hourly teams to optimize coverage and efficiency
- Maintain accountability for labor costs, cost of goods, and operating expenses
- Track performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results
- Lead regular leadership meetings and ensure alignment across all operational areas
- Address guest feedback and partner with marketing or reputation platforms to enhance guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in upscale hospitality, boutique hotels, or high-end food & beverage operations
- Experience managing multi-revenue streams (hotel, restaurant/lounge, and/or events) strongly preferred
- Strong financial acumen with experience tracking KPIs and managing costs
- Demonstrated ability to lead from the floor and build strong team culture
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect across all levels—team members, guests, and partners
- Experience with hospitality systems (POS, scheduling, PMS, event platforms, etc.) is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
- Performance Bonus: Up to 20% based on results
