NPI Industrial Lead- Mechanical Engineer

(High-Mix Manufacturing – Player/Coach)

Position Overview
We are hiring a senior Manufacturing Engineering leader to own end-to-end industrialization for new product introductions in a high-variant environment.

This individual will act as the “industrialization quarterback,” ensuring complete, build-ready packages and predictable NPI execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing readiness from design freeze through production

• Establish and enforce structured release gates (DFM/A, pilot builds, release audits)

• Drive creation of complete shop packets (drawings, BOMs, routings, CNC readiness, WIs)

• Lead cross-functional build readiness reviews

• Define inspection, tooling, fixture, and packaging requirements

• Mentor engineering teams through hands-on floor engagement

Qualifications

• 15+ years in high-mix NPI/industrialization

• Experience across machining, fabrication, and assembly

• Strong routing/process plan development

• Ability to enforce manufacturing rigor without slowing execution

• Fluent in drawings, GD&T, and CNC handoffs

• Comfortable operating without formal PLM systems
