Services Operations Manager

Lead the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of a valve repair and machining facility. This role owns production planning, quality, staffing, schedules, budgets, materials, purchasing, and project delivery while ensuring valve repair work meets required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• ·    Direct valve repair and machining operations with a focus on safety, quality, production, cost, and profit.
• ·    Plan staffing and work schedules, assign work, inspect results, evaluate performance, and motivate production personnel.
• ·    Coordinate inventory, purchasing, materials, equipment, and employees to support efficient shop operations.
• ·    Maintain job timelines and production goals, track work in progress, and ensure on-time shipments.
• ·    Develop and enforce quality control procedures for valve testing and repair activities.
• ·    Maintain required employee training and certifications, including applicable National Board requirements.
• ·    Inspect facilities and equipment and recommend changes, additions, or modifications.
• ·    Enforce company policies and applicable safety procedures.

• ·    Valve repair or machining experience, including production planning and scheduling.
• ·    Knowledge of NBIC requirements, safety practices, shop technology, equipment, and procedures.
• ·    Experience managing shop personnel, projects, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• ·    Strong leadership, communication, organization, training, and team-building skills.
• ·    Ability to make timely decisions, manage multiple priorities, and work additional hours when schedules require.
• ·    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
