Therapeutic Enrichment Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapist staff
- Co-supervise the Community Support Advocate team with the Clinical Supervisor
- Oversee event planning, resident engagement, and community coordination to help residents stay active, connected and emotionally supported
- Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for staff
- Utilize therapeutic activities and structured programming to support residents’ emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and social development goals
- Develop and implement therapeutic and recreational programs that encourage socialization, independence, relaxation, skill development, and participation in activities of daily living
- Promote resident engagement through meaningful therapeutic, social, recreational, and cognitive activities designed to enhance quality of life, emotional wellness, independence, and overall functioning
- Ensure all occupational therapy services are delivered in accordance with state, federal, and company regulations
- Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor caseload distribution, productivity, and scheduling to ensure efficient service delivers
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance improvement activities
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and promptly
- Flexibility and commitment to work the hours and times required to perform the responsibilities of the job, including evenings and weekends
- Utilize all communication tools including FIN
- Maintain and advocate for all residents’ rights
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Michigan required
- Minimum of 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
