Therapeutic Enrichment Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and support Occupational Therapist staff
  • Co-supervise the Community Support Advocate team with the Clinical Supervisor
  • Oversee event planning, resident engagement, and community coordination to help residents stay active, connected and emotionally supported
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for staff
  • Utilize therapeutic activities and structured programming to support residents’ emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and social development goals
  • Develop and implement therapeutic and recreational programs that encourage socialization, independence, relaxation, skill development, and participation in activities of daily living
  • Promote resident engagement through meaningful therapeutic, social, recreational, and cognitive activities designed to enhance quality of life, emotional wellness, independence, and overall functioning
  • Ensure all occupational therapy services are delivered in accordance with state, federal, and company regulations
  • Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation for accuracy and compliance 
  • Monitor caseload distribution, productivity, and scheduling to ensure efficient service delivers
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance improvement activities
  • Address resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and promptly
  • Flexibility and commitment to work the hours and times required to perform the responsibilities of the job, including evenings and weekends
  • Utilize all communication tools including FIN
  • Maintain and advocate for all residents’ rights
 

Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Michigan required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
