We are partnering with a rapidly growing national healthcare organization that is expanding its footprint in occupational health services. As part of this growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced clinical leader to step into a high-impact VP role overseeing multiple onsite clinics.

This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational health professional—ideally a Registered Nurse who has progressed into executive leadership and earned an MBA—to influence strategy, drive performance, and shape clinical excellence across a region.

Ideally the VP, Clinical Operations will be based in Indiana or Tennessee.  Our client is open to candidates residing in other states who are willing to travel.


Position Summary

The Regional Vice President (VP) of Clinical Operations will provide strategic leadership and oversight for occupational health clinical operations across a designated region. This executive role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant healthcare services across multiple onsite clinic locations.

The VP will partner closely with internal leadership and client stakeholders to drive operational excellence, improve clinical outcomes, and ensure exceptional service delivery. This role is ideal for a clinical leader with an occupational health background—preferably a registered nurse who has advanced into executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute regional strategies to enhance clinical operations and achieve organizational goals

  • Align clinical programs with company objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Champion operational excellence, patient care quality, and regional growth initiatives

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily operations of multiple onsite occupational health clinics

  • Standardize clinical workflows, optimize staffing models, and improve care delivery processes

  • Ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures, and clinical protocols

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and staff retention strategies

Quality & Performance Improvement

  • Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes, safety, and service excellence

  • Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends and implement improvements

  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and continuous optimization of care models

Client Partnership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client organizations

  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, aligning services with their workforce health goals

  • Address client feedback proactively and ensure high satisfaction levels

Financial & Business Management

  • Oversee regional budgets, financial performance, and cost management

  • Implement strategies to improve profitability while maintaining high-quality care

  • Monitor key performance indicators and adjust operations to meet financial targets

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare and occupational health regulations

  • Maintain readiness for audits and regulatory reviews

  • Stay current on industry regulations and adjust practices accordingly

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on operational performance and key metrics

  • Communicate effectively across clinical teams, corporate leadership, and client stakeholders


Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of occupational health practices and regulatory requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proven ability to manage multi-site clinical operations

  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and performance management

  • Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proficiency in healthcare systems and operational technologies


Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) strongly preferred, with progressive leadership experience

  • MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required

  • Minimum of 10+ years of healthcare operations experience

  • At least 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple locations

  • Required: Occupational health experience

  • Demonstrated success leading clinical teams within complex, multi-site environments

  • Ability to travel regionally (Indiana and Tennessee markets)

Additional Information

Compensation commensurate with experience, PLUS Bonus.
