Benefits Specialist
Full-Time, Temp to Hire Opportunity
Onsite - No Remote
Hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm M-F
$16-$17 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Benefits Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate insurance verification, clear communication, and smooth billing processes. If you enjoy working with insurance, helping patients understand their benefits, and supporting clean claims, this could be a great fit!
What You'll Do:
- Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
- Work with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Communicate insurance information clearly to patients and staff
- Support billing operations with accurate documentation
- Maintain organized, up to date patient and insurance records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Collaborate with billing and front office teams to prevent claim issues
What We're Looking For:
- 6 months to 1 year experience minimum in insurance verification or medical billing
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Experience in a billing or revenue cycle role preferred
