Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift

Job Overview:

A manufacturing plant is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production operations and maintain equipment reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general mechanical components. This role is essential to maintaining equipment uptime and supporting safe, efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and pneumatic or hydraulic systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure long-term machine reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues using troubleshooting tools and standard procedures.

• Read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and technical diagrams to support repairs.

• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a maintenance mechanic or industrial maintenance technician.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical assemblies, and general industrial equipment.

• Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and work independently on repairs.

• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
