Sr. Director, Global Product Management – Enabling Technologies Location: (Remote – U.S. Based) Compensation: $250,000 – $375,000 Total Compensation

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, well-capitalized orthopedic medical device company is seeking a Senior Director of Global Product Management to lead their Enabling Technologies portfolio. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role for someone who wants to help shape the future of surgical guidance technology — including augmented reality, navigation, and next-generation Enabling Technologies — at a company investing heavily in this space.

This is not a caretaker role. The portfolio is growing, the roadmap is being built, and the person who steps in will have real influence over strategic direction and platform expansion.

What You'll Own

  • Lead global upstream product management across a portfolio of enabling technologies including augmented reality surgical guidance, cloud-based preoperative planning, and intraoperative navigation systems
  • Drive the full new product development lifecycle — from ideation and concept development through clinical validation and commercial launch — using a structured gate process
  • Serve as the strategic orchestrator across R&D, software engineering, clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams
  • Manage and develop a growing team of global product managers (2 direct reports on day one, with headcount expansion planned)
  • Partner with executive leadership to define the enabling technology roadmap and evaluate future platform partnerships and acquisitions
  • Lead product strategy in a competitive landscape alongside major robotic and navigation platforms in the arthroplasty space

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in enabling technology — specifically robotics, augmented reality surgical guidance, and/or preoperative navigation platforms
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization
  • Deep expertise in upstream global product management, including formal NPD/stage-gate process from concept through commercial launch
  • Orthopedic or medical device industry background

Preferred:

  • Experience at a major orthopedic company with a robotics or AR surgical platform
  • Familiarity with total joint arthroplasty (hip, knee, shoulder) applications
  • Track record of leading teams through platform builds or technology integrations

Why This Role

  • Join the fastest-growing company in orthopedics at a pivotal moment in their enabling technology strategy
  • Lead a portfolio that is actively being invested in — budget, headcount, and executive attention are all aligned
  • Significant runway to grow the team and expand the platform
  • Competitive total compensation including base salary, 30% annual bonus target, and relocation assistance available

To be considered, candidates must have enabling technology experience. Traditional implant-only backgrounds will not be evaluated for this position.
