What they are looking for:
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification from PTCB(CphT).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a hospital pharmacy retail technician; 3 years preferred.
Hours and compensation potential:
•Position is full time. Typically work Monday-Friday(9am-6pm) and weekend coverage is Saturday(9am-6pm) and Sunday(9am-4pm) and usually that is 1x a month.
•Range is between $37000-$50,000 depending on experience and a full benefit package.
What you will be doing:
•Responsible for assisting and supporting licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. This responsibility includes activities inclusive of, but not limited to acting as a liaison between the public and the pharmacist, preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory and maintaining patient records. Orders, receives and stocks the pharmacy medications in a timely and accurate manner. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory / accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards. Performs all tasks under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
•Knowledge of PioneerRX pharmacy computer system.
•Knowledge of procurement, payment and storage of all drugs and supplies for the pharmacy department.
•Knowledge of 340B requirements.
•Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy rules / regulations / accreditation standards.
•Knowledge of basic pharmacy calculations, medical terminology and aseptic technique.
•Successful completion of mandatory requirements including, but not limited to, departmental competencies.
•Demonstration of effective problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal and team work skills.
•Demonstration of positive customer service.
•Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Knowledge of procurement, payment and storage of all drugs and supplies for the pharmacy department.
•Knowledge of 340B requirements.
