Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer / Engineering Manager serves as a technical leader responsible for overseeing electrical engineering projects while mentoring and developing engineers and designers.

This individual will balance project execution with team leadership, helping maintain engineering quality, improve processes, and support the continued growth of both the engineering team and the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop electrical engineers and designers
• Oversee electrical system design for commercial, retail, industrial, and institutional projects
• Review engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and client standards
• Manage multiple projects while balancing team resources and schedules
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, owners, and internal project teams
• Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide technical leadership
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5+ years of electrical building systems design experience
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams
• Proficiency with Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and construction documents

Preferred

• Multi-site commercial or retail project experience
• Design-build experience
• Experience reviewing and sealing drawings
• Previous engineering leadership experience
