About the Opportunity

Rivers Health Associates is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Hospital Medicine team at Riverview Medical Center, part of the Hackensack Meridian Health network.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, physician-led hospitalist model where NP play a vital role in inpatient care delivery. You’ll work closely with experienced hospitalist physicians, nurses, care managers, and specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

This role is ideal for:

• NPS with hospital medicine or acute care experience

What You’ll Do

• Participate in admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning under physician supervision.
• Perform histories and physicals, follow patient progress, and help manage day-to-day inpatient care.
• Assist in managing common inpatient conditions such as heart failure, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, infections, electrolyte disorders, and post-operative medical issues.
• Order and review labs and imaging within scope and delegation.
• Document all care in Epic EMR.
• Communicate closely with supervising physicians, nurses, case management, and consulting services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination.
• Support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.

You will not be practicing independently — this is a team-based, supervised hospitalist model with clear escalation and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an MSN/DSN accredited program
• NJ license (or ability to obtain)
• Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges
• BLS required; ACLS required or obtained during onboarding
• Prior inpatient, hospital medicine, internal medicine, or acute care experience preferred
• New grads considered with the right training mindset and clinical foundation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Strong communicator, team-oriented, and patient-focused
