Director, Public Health & Community Partnerships

Seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship-driven Director, Public Health & Community Partnerships to support the development and execution of the organization's public health strategy. This individual will leverage healthcare data, research, and strategic partnerships to advance initiatives designed to improve population health, health equity, healthcare delivery, and outcomes across New York communities.

Reporting to the Vice President of Public Health & Government Affairs, the Director will serve as a key bridge between healthcare data and the public health community. The position will establish and strengthen relationships with public health agencies, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, academic and research institutions, health plans, payers, government stakeholders, and other partners to identify emerging health needs and opportunities for collaboration.

The Director will combine the organization's longitudinal healthcare data with public health, population, demographic, environmental, socioeconomic, and other relevant data and research to support studies, programs, and initiatives that generate meaningful insights into health outcomes, disparities, healthcare utilization, resource availability, and healthcare costs.

A critical component of this role is the ability to move beyond analysis and translate complex data and research into compelling, actionable insights. The Director will communicate findings to policymakers, healthcare executives, providers, insurers, health plans, payers, researchers, community leaders, and other decision-makers to help inform public health strategies, healthcare policy, community initiatives, and the allocation of healthcare resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, Population Health, Health Policy, or a closely related discipline strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience within public health, population health, healthcare, research, government, academia, nonprofit organizations, health plans, or related environments.
• Demonstrated experience working with public health and population-level data, including the ability to understand and interpret statistical and epidemiological findings.
• Working knowledge of biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, healthcare utilization, and healthcare cost concepts.
• Strong understanding of health equity, social and environmental drivers of health, behavioral health, and mental health and their relationship to healthcare access and outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and research into actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences and senior decision-makers.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships across healthcare, government, public health, academic, research, and community organizations.
• Excellent presentation, writing, analytical, relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
• Experience working with healthcare data, health information exchange (HIE), electronic clinical data, claims data, Medicaid populations, or real-world healthcare data.
• Experience conducting or supporting population health, epidemiological, health services, health economics, or healthcare utilization research.
• Familiarity with New York's healthcare and public health ecosystem, including government agencies, health systems, community organizations, health plans, and academic institutions.
• Experience presenting healthcare or public health findings to executive leadership, policymakers, government agencies, community stakeholders, or other external audiences.
• Experience developing cross-sector partnerships involving healthcare, government, academia, research, and community organizations.
