Loan Specialist | Buy Side

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loan Specialist to join our Business Unit Control Group. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s investment operations, with a strong focus on loan products and lifecycle management within a complex buy-side environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of relevant experience in buy-side operations, fund accounting, or investment operations
• Strong background in Accounting, Finance, or Operations
• Expert-level experience with SS&C Geneva, specifically in: Loan onboarding | Loan lifecycle events | Configuration and support of loan-related activities
• Deep understanding of loan lifecycle processes, including: Trade settlement | Interest accruals | Paydowns | Amendments and restructurings
• Experience with portfolio accounting systems and reconciliation platforms (Gresham preferred)
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of SQL (preferred)
• Familiarity with financial systems, data structures, and integrations
• Strong understanding of a wide range of financial instruments, including: Loans / Private Credit (core focus) | Equities | Fixed Income | Derivatives | Foreign Exchange
• Solid understanding of: Capital markets | Hedge fund structures and strategies
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
