The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance programs to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of plant equipment, grounds, building infrastructure, and production processes.
This role plays a critical leadership function in optimizing uptime, minimizing downtime, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting overall operational excellence within a poultry manufacturing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) with demonstrated knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment within the breader | batter protein industry.
- Direct experience working with: Ammonia refrigeration systems | Protein processing environments | Industrial refrigeration systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of: Electrical systems | Mechanical systems | Refrigeration principles and applications
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment.
- Understanding of CAD system capabilities.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to define operational challenges and resolve issues quickly.
- Self-starter with strong initiative.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Experience leading maintenance teams in high-volume manufacturing settings.
- Poultry processing or protein manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in breader | batter processing operations highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success reducing downtime and improving plant reliability metrics.
