Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a dynamic Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their renowned Entertainment and Media Practice in Century City. This is a rare opportunity to work with a best-in-class legal team handling groundbreaking music industry deals on behalf of global talent, major industry players, and innovative digital platforms.
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Active Bar Admission in California.
3–6 years of substantive experience in music law, either in-house or at a leading law firm.
Proven experience advising on a wide range of music industry transactions, including recording, publishing, management, live touring, joint venture, and digital licensing deals.
Familiarity with copyright law (including termination rights), rights of publicity, sponsorship and endorsement, rights of name/image/likeness/voice, and trademark issues within the music and entertainment space.
Experience in music catalog acquisitions and sales is highly valued.
Excellent judgment, communication skills, and business acumen.
A team-oriented mindset and the drive to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing practice.
Advise clients on a broad array of music transactions, including recording agreements, publishing deals, licensing arrangements, and endorsement agreements.
Draft, review, and negotiate key contracts related to the development, commercialization, and acquisition of music rights.
Provide strategic counsel on music M&A transactions, conducting diligence and supporting all phases of negotiation and documentation.
Work on matters related to copyright, trademark, AI, and rights of publicity in the music context.
Support artists, executives, entrepreneurs, and companies at all stages of development and across genres and platforms.
Collaborate closely with other attorneys and professionals in a tight-knit and high-energy environment.

Compensation is highly competitive, with a base salary range of $235,000-$390,000, commensurate with experience.
