Compensation: $231,000 – $300,000 annually (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4 day (10 hour shift available).
Location: Greater Sacramento area, CA (Multiple locations available)
We are seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide comprehensive primary care services to children and adolescents (birth through age 19) in a community health center setting. This role offers the opportunity to serve a diverse, underserved population while working within a collaborative, mission-driven team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, acute care, and chronic disease management
- Perform thorough histories and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and implement treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
- Prescribe medications and manage age-appropriate therapies
- Provide developmental, behavioral, and preventive care services
- Deliver culturally competent patient and family education
- Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations as needed
- Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality care
- Review and respond to clinical messages, labs, and reports in a timely manner
- Complete accurate, timely documentation and billing in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Must have 2+ years of post residency experience; no new grads.
- Experience managing pediatric preventive care, acute and chronic conditions, and developmental/behavioral concerns
- Familiarity with clinical quality measures (HRSA core measures, HEDIS, PCMH) preferred
- Active, unrestricted California medical license
- Community health center or FQHC experience preferred
- Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred
