Job Description

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters involving real estate, construction, landlord/tenant, business, and commercial disputes
• Handle law and motion practice, pleadings, discovery, court appearances, hearings, and settlement negotiations
• Draft and respond to complaints, motions, discovery requests, correspondence, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents
• Analyze case strategy, evaluate risk, and help move matters toward practical resolution
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members
• Support matters involving commercial lease defaults, possession actions, construction claims, contract disputes, real estate misrepresentation claims, and property-related conflicts
• Manage deadlines, case calendars, filings, and litigation tasks with strong attention to detail
• Take increasing ownership of cases based on experience level

Qualifications

• California Bar admission required
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred for junior-level candidates
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience preferred for senior-level candidates
• Experience with California civil procedure strongly preferred
• Real estate, construction, landlord/tenant, unlawful detainer, commercial lease, or business litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal research, legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable appearing in court and communicating with clients
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
• Real estate broker license is a plus, but not required
