Location

On-site position based in Knoxville, Tennessee, working closely with in-house multidisciplinary design teams. Relocation support is available.

Note

This role requires an active Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Job Description

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire protection, and life safety
  • Develop medium- and low-voltage systems and one-line diagrams
  • Perform load flow studies, arc flash analysis, and power factor correction
  • Design generator, emergency power, and UPS systems
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and applicable standards
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams
  • Manage and mentor electrical design staff
  • Produce specifications and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Deliver customized engineering solutions tailored to client operations

Qualifications

  • Active Electrical Engineering PE license
  • 4+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Background in power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate within a team environment
