CNC Machine Operator II
Location: Vernon, CT
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Range: $26.00 – $34.00/hour (based on experience)
The CNC Machine Operator II will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines, including lathes, mills, multi-turret, and mill-turn equipment.
This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, multi-turret, and mill-turn machines
- Work with HAAS, Okuma, and/or Fanuc controls
- Perform both standard and complex machine setups
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Make program edits and adjustments as needed
- Create, grind, and maintain tooling
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously when required
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow written procedures and document process changes

- Support production demands, including overtime when needed
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience
- 3–5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills
- Experience with HAAS, Okuma, and/or Fanuc controls
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools
- Ability to perform complex setups independently
- Solid shop math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- U.S. Citizenship required
