Location: South Houston, TX (near the Medical Center, Pearland and Stafford) – Onsite

A growing and well-established industrial distribution company with a great team culture and strong benefits is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to help build and optimize inventory processes across multiple locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both strategy and hands-on execution—developing an inventory management approach while improving procurement, stock control, and supplier coordination.

Inventory Control Manager Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and inventory levels across multiple company locations

• Develop and implement an effective inventory management strategy to improve stock accuracy, reduce outages, and prevent excess inventory

• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, slow-moving items, and opportunities for improvement

• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy

• Manage supplier relationships and monitor delivery performance

• Coordinate product transfers between warehouses

• Maintain inventory and purchasing data within the ERP system

• Partner with sales and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and smooth operations

• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and customer service

Inventory Control Manager Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, or supply chain operations

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills

• Experience working across multiple locations and product lines preferred

• ERP experience required (Prophet 21 / Epicor is a plus)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, Business, or related field preferred
