Location: This is a primarily on-site opportunity based in Framingham, Massachusetts, which offers strong day-to-day collaboration, mentorship, and face time as you ramp up in the practice, with more flexibility possible over time.

Note: Must be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in good standing and have at least 3 years of Massachusetts family law experience. We are seeking someone who can step in and handle files with limited to moderate supervision.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, modifications, contempt actions, paternity, and related Probate & Family Court proceedings
  • Manage a caseload with increasing independence
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, and legal correspondence
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, conferences, mediations, conciliations, and trials
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda as needed
  • Negotiate settlements and help clients evaluate practical legal options
  • Communicate with clients in a compassionate, responsive, and professional manner
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on case strategy and case progression

Qualifications

  • JD required
  • Active Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing
  • 3+ years of Massachusetts family law experience
  • Strong litigation, drafting, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage cases with limited to moderate supervision
  • Client-focused, professional, and empathetic approach
  • More senior candidates will be considered
