Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Designer to join our apparel team. This role will be responsible for managing the technical development process across multiple categories, including adult sleepwear, intimates, and kids sleepwear. The ideal candidate will oversee all fit samples, approvals, and revisions, ensuring garments meet quality standards and customer expectations.
This position requires a highly organized, problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage priorities independently. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, small company environment, wearing multiple hats and collaborating closely with design, production, and management teams. Strong attention to detail, the ability to pivot between categories, and openness to feedback are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and manage all fit samples and approvals throughout the development process
- Evaluate garment fit and construction across multiple categories and recommend solutions
- Review fit samples with the Design Director and implement feedback into revisions and updates
- Work closely with the costing team to ensure construction and design choices align with cost targets
- Create and update tech packs, measurements, and fit comments
- Communicate clearly with factories and internal teams to resolve technical issues
- Manage personal workflow and deadlines while maintaining organization across multiple projects
- Adapt quickly between product categories including adult sleepwear, intimates, and kids sleepwear
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Technical Designer in apparel
- Strong fit knowledge, garment construction, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities while collaborating with leadership
- Comfortable working in a small company environment and taking on multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
