Primary Care Physician
Compensation: $231,000 – $300,000 annually (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4 day (10 hour shift available).
Location: Greater Sacramento area, CA (Multiple locations available)
We are seeking a full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician to join a mission-driven community health center serving diverse and underserved populations. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care within scope of practice
- Perform history and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and create treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate therapies
- Coordinate referrals and specialty consultations when indicated
- Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate patient education
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure integrated care delivery
- Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality care
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Review and sign clinical reports (labs, consults, imaging) promptly
- Submit billing and coding documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in continuing education and maintain all required licensure and certifications
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Must have 2+ years of post residency experience; no new grads.
- Active, unrestricted California medical license
- Community health center or FQHC experience preferred
- Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred
